My entire career has been dedicated to public service. I have been a Deputy District Attorney for almost 15 years, currently assigned to the Sex Crimes Division. Most of my career has been focused on protecting victims of sexual assault. But I have also handled complex fraud cases while assigned to the White Collar Crime Division.
Prior to the District Attorney’s office and law school, I worked for Governor Gray Davis as his Special Assistant in his Private Office in the State Capitol.
As an accomplished trial attorney, I believe I have the background, training and experience to be a good and fair judge. Not only am I respected by my colleagues, but I have also garnered the respect and support from defense attorneys, judicial officers, court staff, and law enforcement.
I hope to continue to serve the community as a judge and commit to my work with the same integrity, fairness and temperament to the bench as I have demonstrated as an attorney.
I ask for your support for my campaign and to vote for me on March 3, 2020!
I am the eldest daughter of immigrant parents from South Korea. Just like many others, my parents placed their faith in the American Dream and started with humble beginnings. My father started as a coal miner in Kentucky while my mother styled wigs even though she had no experience in that field.
My childhood was filled with all work and no play while my parents worked every day to make ends meet. But these obligations and this upbringing taught me to have a strong work ethic and to also learn the important lesson of humility.
My upbringing in an immigrant family shaped my character and increased my resolve to help people through public service. That is why I joined the District Attorney’s office.
I believe my personal background and legal experience qualify me to be the best candidate for Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
